Dog Is Dead – Christmas Wrapping

As you can probably imagine working in a pub takes up a lot of time during December so I have, admittedly, been a bit lax with posting. In an attempt to rectify this though I thought I’d share with you something to get you completely and utterly in the festive spirit. Nottingham five-piece Dog Is Dead have produced a cover of The Waitresses’ Christmas Wrapping which you can not only to listen to below but also download for free (think of it as an early present) by heading over here. If, like me, you’re a fan of the original you’ll love this male vocal version and also wonder why it doesn’t enjoy as much appreciation at this time of year as other songs seem to (as in the only Christmas songs I’ve heard on the radio so far are Last Christmas, Shakin’ Stevens and Mariah Carey repeatedly). If, however, you’re not a fan of the song itself you can at least revel in the fact that there are few instruments that sound as festive as the saxophone.
