Back at the beginning of February I featured Marcus Foster‘s Shadows Of The City after falling in love with its intoxicating, unique sound. Just over a month later, having heard his debut EP I’m pretty sure this is a musical love affair that looks set to continue! Despite comprising of just 4 songs Tumble Down, due for release on Monday 4th April, is a stunning extended introduction to Marcus’ music, and the versatility he posseses as a musician.
So who is Marcus Foster? Well, having begun to play Piano at the tender age of six years old, it is without doubt that this is a man who has grown up living and breathing music whether of his own making or others. It is this passion and overwhelming ability that gained him such attention that one of his songs featured on the Twilight soundtrack sung by none other than R-Pattz himself! This EP, then, cements his status as one of the most exciting and promising talents around at the moment. Following on from the epic nature of Shadows Of The City, the second song Tumble Down is more stripped back, almost tranquil in its delivery, overflowing with sincere emotion. My personal favourite of the four tracks is Demons, on which the bluesy tone of his voice make for a heart-aching tale of self-exploration that it utterly endearing. Ending with a moving love song in You Send Me, the whole of this EP is enough to enchant and intrigue. Such an impressive introduction is definitely worth your time when it is released on Monday and, personally, if the the reports I’ve had from a friend regarding the outstanding quality of his live shows are correct, I cannot wait to see him when he plays The Great Escape festival in May.

I absolutely love Marcus Foster’s music and can not believe I can NOT get it in the USA. I’m not a big fan of Amazon and that seems to be the only place. iTunes has it but only for the UK.
Marcus Foster bless the USA with your amazing talent!!!!
Thanks
